From the back: Sworn to “ protect and serve” the wildlife resources and the people of Alaska, sgt. Ballinger patrolled the vast land by vehicle, aircraft, snow machine, boat, and on foot during his 20 years of service. Often pursuing violators alone; with limited radio communications and no “ Backup” to call upon if things turned bad, and flying in all kinds of weather, it offered a unique challenge.
